NADA India, a NGO, and Indian Association of Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, in association with 7 Radiations- SATCH (Sanctum of Alternate Therapies and Conscious Healing), will be conducting a one-day workshop on August 12 on ear acupuncture for people who suffer from various addictions such as smoking, alcohol, and drugs. The acupuncture protocol or NADA protocol was developed by US-based Dr. Michael O. Smith in 1970. Dr. Smith is the founder and chairman of NADA International.
‘Globally accepted’
According to the local organiser Rachana Nitin, the NADA protocol has been globally accepted after undergoing a number of tests in clinical settings and has proved to be beneficial in detoxification from substance abuse as well as to help with the emotional, physical and psychological problems attributed to addictions. IAADS SMART Commitments Presented at the Second Global Summit on Traditional Medicine

The Indian Association of Acupuncture Detoxification Specialists (IAADS) submitted its SMART Commitments in support of the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025–2034 , which were formally acknowledged at the Closing Ceremony of the Second Global Summit on Traditional Medicine , held in New Delhi on 19 December 2024 .
