Nada India Foundation & Indian Association of Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (IAADS)  conducted the Training workshop on use of ear acupuncture as per NADA Protocol for addiction treatment and general well being held at  Gandhi Bhavan, Thycaud, Trivandrum Kerala on 6th June 2012 .

The workshop was hosted by Integral Psycho-Yoga &; Holistic Health Association Kerala under the able leadership of Mr. D.Sreekantan Nair . The workshop was facilitated by Suneel Vatsyayan. The theory and practical skilled based sessions were  conducted by Dr.Pradeep Antony on Acupuncture. Dr.S.Najeeb psychiatrist and In-charge of De-addiction center took the session on addiction treatment and rehabilitation of  drug users along with Mr.Suneel. Mr.Mohan Kumar member of Kerala State Human Rights Commission explained  the contents of NADA pledge in detail and translated in to Malyalam language

The workshop aimed to facilitate a shared understanding of importance of barrier free services and skill in use ear acupuncture as an adjunct treatment at all stages of addiction treatment  (pre admission, detoxification and rehabilitation and after care).

 This workshop also provided  trainees with skills to use ear acupuncture (NADA Protocol three points under the clinical supervison of Dr.Pradeep Antony ,Dr.Najeeb Dr.Vijay Kumar and Dr.James Doss, Dr.
This also enabled trainees in building greater confidence in producing effective approach in dealing with people, who avoid treatment,

• Rigorous hands on practice
• Complementary advisory and troubleshooting support services through electronic media or phone.

IAADS SMART Commitments Presented at the Second Global Summit on Traditional Medicine

The Indian Association of Acupuncture Detoxification Specialists (IAADS) submitted its SMART Commitments in support of the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025–2034 , which were formally acknowledged at the Closing Ceremony of the Second Global Summit on Traditional Medicine , held in New Delhi on 19 December 2024 .
