NADA protocol helps people in setting their life free

Happy Holi to every one (an Indian festival of colors, celebrations and friendship) !
It is often said, “Life turns Colourful” when it is time for Holi in India on 8th March.
I am not able to write for long today, unfortunately, since I have the pleasure to welcome a  visitor: Dr. Michael O.Smith from New York. He is an unconventional psychiatrist, profound  teacher on addiction and other life style related issues. And Michael is a social worker by heart. He founded the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association - a membership based organisation – in the US.
He continues to sew the seeds of NADA mission of improving access to recovery for communities worldwide through his vibrant visits on a regular basis. This is his one of such visits to India since 1999.
Developed in the 1970s at Lincoln Hospital (Bronx, NY), the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association 5 point protocol  was initially  used as a supportive component in alcohol and other drugs treatment settings and expanded to trauma, disaster management and well-being settings.  The ear acupuncture formula controlled withdrawal symptoms and helped patients become more clear-headed and comfortable. The ear points provide a balancing effect:  some fall asleep; some feel relief of depression; some seem to be meditating, NADA acupuncture adds a valuable component to the behavioral health fields.  I found that the NADA protocol helps people in setting the life free in its own way at all stages of alcohol and other drugs prevention and other life style related issues.

'NADA acupuncture is a public health model... says Dr. Michael.O. Smith

'NADA acupuncture is a public health model that adds a valuable component to the behavioral health fields', says Dr. Michael.O. Smith, Some were dozing off;some with  drooping.heads;some in a sort of trance;some snoring off. They all had one thing in common- sterilized  acupuncture  needles carefully pierced in one of  their ears. It was a cloudy and chilly  February afternoon in Delhi. Even some of the large contingent of journalists who routinely take the flights of steps at the reception of the I N S building in Rafi Marg were inquisitive. A couple of them were led to the few vacant seats so were some of the non journalists INS staff. Acupuncture Detoxification specialist and associates and assistant  inserted needles in their ears with care and precisely without hurting them. Presiding over this demonstration was Dr. Michael.O.Smith,Chairperson NADA International who has pioneered and spearheaded a NADA world wide social movement with NADA  protocol

ROLE OF ACUPUNCTURE IN FUTURE OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Dr.  Arindam Sinha, medical practitioner and acupuncturist was speaking at an interactive session on " NADA Ear acupuncture for well being" jointly organized by Nada India Foundation and Arvindam Samagra  in Delhi on February 1, 2014.  The dedicated human endeavor in medical science all over the world has taken the public health scenario to the extent which was unimaginable even half a century ago. But during this time when the public health system was busy fighting these communicable diseases, we started losing countless lives to new demons .Road Traffic Accidents , Coronary Artery Diseases, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Cerebro-Vascular Diseases, and Obesity to name a few. India has been declared as world capital of Coronary Diseases and Diabetes, the two biggest killers of our time. But sadly the health system we have at present in the country still lacks the capacity to prevent these diseases Acupuncture is a mode of therapy which is ancient in its
