Acudetox camp at Bhim Basti South Delhi

Nada India along with C.P.Manaviya Trust organised a one day Health camp on 7th Nov2011 at Bhim Basti. Adolescent girls, women,senior citizens got their health check up. Dr.Ajay Vats NADA ,ADS lead the the Health camp. Prior to camp day community survey was conducted by Mr.Chandan, Mr.Punit Nada IGNOU interns. Kavita peer leader of radio club and vocational group mobilized the adolescents in the community.More than  125 people attended the camp. Acudetox sessions were conducted by Dr.Ajay NADA,ADS.  Alexander Daniel IPS Additional Director General of Border Security Force and Mr.Suneel Vatsyayan and Mr.Panday community leader were also present through out the camp and encouraged the volunteers. Medicines and services of physican was provided by C.P.Manaviya Trust. Nada India is planning to organise another follow up camp in colloboboration with Rotary and Inner wheal Club Vasant Kunj next month with a focus on adolescent girls and women. Hemoglobin will be tested as majority were found anemic. Nada India do provide these girls and boys Sona Chandi Chawan prash a health tonic on daily basis for the last two years and we reach out more than hundred girls and boys attending different programs of Nada India at  BalBhawan Mandi and Vocational groups at Bhim Bast.

The statement in Dr. Dandridge’s presentation that “he did not approve of the politics brought with the free clinics,” makes it sound like Mike did not approve of the free clinics themselves. The day is observed by the World Health Organization [WHO] and global partners as an opportunity to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and secondhand smoke exposure and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form. This year’s focus for the day was, “Tobacco and lung health” . Everyone knows how tobacco affects our lungs. The WHO release says, the campaign will increase awareness on, “the negative impact that tobacco has on people’s lung health, from cancer, to chronic respiratory diseases”.
