Donate Needles: NADA Philippines!

Hello friends.

We are in the process of setting up NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) Philippines! Nada protocol training is ongoing this October and hopefully by next year, NADA Philippines is born!

We just finished our community clinic on 9th Oct 2010. We were able to give ear acupuncture treatments to more than 500 slum dwellers of Barangay Pansol, Quezon city where drug addiction is a major concern.

This coming November trainees from Baler Quezon, Infanta Quezon will be trained and we shall expect to treat more than 500 community people again for three days. We use 10 needles per patient, 5 needles each ear. Please help by donating needles for our November community clinic. I will send you pictures of our Pansol community that ended yesterday. Deborah Valentine Smith I recently attended an excellent webinar on t he African American History of Acupuncture by  Dr.  Tenisha Dandridge, hosted by Acupuncturists without Borders. The history of Lincoln Hospital and Lincoln Detox in the 1970’s was of special interest to me,  as I participated in much of it and may have a unique perspective, as I was married to Mike Smith at the time. While I appreciated much of the history shared in this Webinar, I can’t agree with a couple of the statements about Mike. The statement in Dr. Dandridge’s presentation that “he did not approve of the politics brought with the free clinics,” makes it sound like Mike did not approve of the free clinics themselves. Nada India Archives: Probation Officers could be trained for the NADA acupuncture therapy

Dr.. Smith addressed the group of Probation officers in Delhi  Government   and informed about the instrumental role played by a Probation officer in assisting the judicial system in delivering justice.
