The department of Social Work, BPS Women University Khanpur, Sonepat Haryana invited chairman Nada India for a guest lecture on "Premarital counselling and family conflict" on 12.03.2011. Suneel Vatsyayan with Pehchaan project Director Ms.Pallavi and Dr.Uttam NADA ADS.Dr.Uttam conducted NADA ear acupuncture session with attending post graduate students of Social work for well being. Suneel Vatsyayan briefed how NADA three point ear acupuncture is close to social work . In the present day society, people find it hard to talk about help, issues related to addiction, trauma, domestic violence, mental health etc. We believe that talking about feelings, trauma asking for help is still a taboo and highly stigmatized and further biggest barrier in effective service delivery at grass root level.Mr.Vatsyayan further added that It gives us a chance to communicate.

G Manjusainath, Bangalore, May 6, DHNS: "….74 per cent of respondents from Bangalore said they take vitamins and supplements and 43 per cent of respondents from Bangalore said they use herbal or homeopathic remedies for their health and wellbeing, 52 per cent get acupuncture and 52 per cent practise Yoga.” This is one of the findings of the Philips Health and Wellbeing Index Report- 2011, a survey conducted by Philips Electronics India, which was made public recently. The report shows that 39 per cent of Bangaloreans approach mental health professionals as against the national average of nine per cent. Jaipur scores the lowest on this parameter at just two per cent. The report prepared by Philips India is based on a survey conducted among 6,300 respondents in the age group of 18-60 years across 32 cities and towns.
